What Is A Self-heating Can?

A self-heating can, how intriguing does it sound?

First and foremost, self-heating can is a modified and altered version of your normal, boring looking aluminium can but made better with enhanced properties. It comprises of dual chambers instead of a hollow, big one that surround each other.

Now the theory of a self-heating can is definitely not rocket science at all:

A chamber contain the content of the can (eg: drinks), and another chamber is filled with chemical that when undergoing an exothermic reaction in between calcium oxide and water will release a high amount of heat that will heat your drink in no time.

The diagram above explains the theory mentioned above. The point of activation is situated at the bottom of the can, and needed to be pushed in order to release the water for reaction. The water then will react with calcium oxide, which is actually chalk and release thermal energy.

Now isn't this is just energy savvy and interesting?
